The Markilux 6000 full cassette awning comes with high tensile strength bionic tendons within the folding arms, that have been designed to mimic the folding of a human elbow; transferring spring tension through the folding arms as they fold inwards in an almost silent fashion, creating a friction-free movement during retraction and extension, which prolong the technical life of the awning.
The awning material has a nano-technology dirt-repellent finish, and a choice of fabrics from the Markliux range, such as Sunvas snc, Sunsilk snc and Visutex; each offering UV protection when under the shade of the awning.
On the front profile there is a seamless hidden guttering system, for drainage of water, and flush end caps and trims to mix and match.
There are two options available for your awnings operation; you could chose either a manual operated awning, with a stainless steel winding handle, or an optional electronically operated awning, either with a hard-wired electric motor controlled by a switch, or by a radio-controlled motor with a Markliux remote control.
Other options available are a sound system and lighting for your outside area, also telescopic aluminium support poles for extra sturdiness, if required; what extras you choose, if any are down to you.
In wind-speed tests the awning could safely handle wind speeds of up to 70 km/H before the awning became stressed; speeds up to than 92 km/H would rip the stitching in the centre of the awning material, but the awning would not break even with hurricane strength wind speeds.
All in all the The Markilux 6000 full electric cassette awning is an impressive awning with great value for money, with prices from £2,000 for the unit, and different options available depending on your preferences and budget.
